Senioritis

School is intensely painful this year! I want out- and I have senioritis bad!! My biology class is the only interesting class that I have this year. My senior ring is coming in soon- and I am psyched about that. It should be pretty. It will look something like this, but it will have a garnet stone. I can't wait.


I went to see Macy Gray, who performed some of her songs from "Big"- her new cd. She looked stoned, but she gave a great concert. The only problem was that her sound blew. You could hear the backup singers great, and the band was nice and loud. Unfortunately, Macy sounded like a four-year-old whispering to her mother. She needed to be louder- that voice of hers is awesome. To not sing loud was a crime!! She did sing my songs though- "I Try" and "Sexual Revolution"

On the other hand, The Brand New Heavies was AWESOME!!! They gave a great show. They even sang a cover of The White Stripes- Seven Nation Army- a lot better than this guy- but I thought it was funny. They were so much fun. They kinda reminded me of a 70's funk band. It was so much fun!! I went with Mel, Paul and Johnee (can't leave my concert buddy at home). I would post pics- but I was too lazy to bring my camera.

Busy, Busy Life

So, life has been a bit hectic lately. To Sum Up:

1. I went to see the Chee Weez- which was awesome! They were so much fun!! I highly advise for anyone reading this to go too. They play a mix of 80's hair bands and new rock and just classic, screaming-the-lyrics-outloud-cuz-you-know-all-the-words songs. GO.SEE.THEM.

2. Spent some time with the family, climbed some stairs (a major accomplishment for me), had a lot of fun.

3. Went to Lake Charles to Laberge (a casino) to see my friend Liz and her hubby Sales. It was nice to see her, she has a master's now- I'm very, very proud- but the casino was boring. At least with my discount- the hotel was nice and cheap.

4. School is still boring. I go, she repeats the same stories over and over, and my eyes glaze over. Thank goodness for Mel who hits me every once in awhile to keep me awake.

5. I saw "Transformers" and dude- it was friggin' awesome! I loved it! It completely redeemed the whole CGI future for me, because most of them have sucked. This was awesome- I loved, loved, loved that movie.

That's it for now- gotta run, homework and traffic wait for no woman!

Candlebox

Hey all, last night was awesome and I had a great time. Tonight, I am exhausted and falling asleep at my computer...which is bad because I am also at work. Anywho, last night, we were in VIP and drinking and having a good time. I got Cherise up there with me and Josh- which was cool. Then, I took shots with the lead singer of CinderRose which was cool, even though he looks like he's 12. I bought a drink for the drummer of Candlebox without knowing who he was, and then sat watching the band with the Man, and our friends. After the concert, I had a long conversation with the guitarist--he was very nice. All in all, I had a great time and it was a wonderful concert. However, today I am just too tired to continue. I can't wait to hit the sheets!! Night all!

Hidden Suns

Sometimes, you think that life sucks and you can't see the sun. But, me- I prefer to find the sun around me!

And, right now- the sun is called "Candlebox"- candle= light= sun...and I will be in the VIP lounge listening to Candlebox tomorrow sipping on my free booze and rocking out!!

I will be there with the Man and our cousins, T & R, and some friends. It'll be fun!

Psych, Season 1

So, I just found out that I did not have to go to school. YEAH! And, I finished my book (picture to the right of me), and it was awesome!! I love this series. It is intelligent, funny and does not dumb down the characters, who are mostly women. Sometimes, it is hard to find strong, yet sexy, heroines.

So, now I am posting because I just finished the last episode of Psych. I love that show- it makes me laugh and think. To me, it is one of the funniest shows on television and the pairing up with Gus as the classic straight man is classic, yet played where it seems original. I highly recommend anyone checking this series out. Be ready to laugh, oh and Corbin Benson is awesome!!

Day 1

That's kind of how I feel about homework today. I just don't feel like it. I would much rather sit down and read my new book- No Humans Involved by Kelley Armstrong. It's awesome, her new one in the Women of the Otherworld Series. Jamie and Jeremy finally get some quality time. I am in the middle and it is just getting really interesting. I am going to pick up The Harlequin today! Should be a great read, I love Laurell K. Hamilton books.
